Free Family Advent Calendar for Your Children’s Ministry!

Advent is a season of expectation—we’re eagerly waiting to celebrate Jesus’ birth! This year, give families a simple, doable resource to help them anticipate and honor Jesus, and receive the gifts of hope, peace, joy, and love that he brings.

This all new, specially designed Advent calendar will walk families through four weeks leading up to Christmas. Each week explores an Advent theme and provides two Bible verses for families to read and experience together.

This unique Advent calendar’s simple, super-doable activities will help families explore and understand the Bible concepts of hope, peace, joy, and love. Each activity is parent-approved and sure to help families in your church create meaningful moments together this Christmas season.

The calendar works well on its own or will complement beloved traditions like Advent wreaths, candle lighting, or countdowns to Christmas.

Here’s a sneak peek at what families will experience each week.

Advent Week 1: Hope

When we hope, we look forward to good things. Families will read Psalm 33:22 and Matthew 12:21 as they think about their hopes this Christmas.

Advent Week 2: Peace

Jesus’ peace brings order and calmness when things feel out of control. Families will explore Luke 1:78-79 and Psalm 29:11 as they bring peace to their sometimes-chaotic everyday family life.

Advent Week 3: Joy

Joy makes our hearts smile—no matter what is going on. Joy is rooted in knowing who God is and how much God loves us. Families will check out Luke 2:10-11 and Psalm 9:2 as they celebrate joy from Jesus.

Advent Week 4: Love

God’s love is unfailing—it’s like a forever hug that will never, ever let us go. Families will read John 1:14 and Psalm 106:1, and they’ll share Jesus’ love with each other all week long.
