Fabulous Fall Craft Ideas for Children’s Ministry

Autumn is in the air! So get out the glue and roll up your sleeves. It’s time to create fall crafts and have bushels of fun!

Fall is the perfect time to help kids at your church get creative. And autumn decorations celebrate God’s beautiful creation and the changing of seasons.

So we’ve collected some fabulous fall craft projects and created a Pinterest board to share with you and the kids at your church. Check it out! You’ll find ideas and inspiration for all ages.

Like these Autumn Tree Paintings for young children!

And these Pumpkin Turkeys are perfect for elementary kids.

You could invite families to tackle more difficult projects together! Like these simply beautiful Fall Centerpieces.

Fall Crafts for a Cause

If you’re looking for a way to raise funds for your children’s ministry or a local charitable organization, consider inviting kids and families at your church to make crafts and then donate their masterpieces to a Fall Craft Fair at your church. It’ll be a wonderful way to showcase children in your church, raise funds, and celebrate God’s good and bountiful gifts together as a community.

For example, kids could make and sell these Fall Door Decorations or DIY Fall Leaves Wreaths.

Or share this Toilet Paper Pumpkin idea with families to make at home and bring to the fall craft fair.

These Fall Themed Coasters are pretty cool, too!

Crafty Conversation

Have you ever noticed how crafting creates space for great conversation? As you create and make fall crafts with kids, consider posing these questions. You’ll be amazed at the new things you learn about each other as you create.

  1. What are your three favorite things in nature God has created? Why do you like those creations so much?
  2. If you could make up a new holiday to celebrate, what would you call it? What would your holiday celebrate?
  3. Tell about a craft you’ve made in the past—perhaps at school, at church, or at home. What did you do with the craft?
  4. What do you look forward to doing in the fall?

Whatever fall crafts you choose, be sure to celebrate kids’ God-given creativity as you design and create together. And give thanks to our Creator God for all the wonderful things he’s made for us.
