Looking for a Halloween alternative? This orchard event will help families in your church celebrate the changing seasons and enjoy some time of fellowship and worship.

Halloween Alternative: Orchard Event

We rent out a local apple orchard for all our families. We begin the evening with a hot dog roast, and we let the bonfire continue through the evening. For activities, we take families on hay rides, let kids run through a corn-field maze, and hold a flashlight scavenger hunt for candy.

We end the evening with a gospel story and praise and worship time. We enjoy hot cider, doughnuts, and roasted marshmallows while we fellowship.

This event is a perfect opportunity to fellowship with your church family before the busyness of the holiday season. But, it’s a wonderful event to promote as an outreach event. So, encourage families in your church to bring friends and neighbors along to enjoy some fall activities!

Wherever you hold your Halloween alternative event — orchard, corn field, or park — everyone is sure to have a great time.
