Nursery Craft: Baby and Toddler Keepsakes for Christmas
Christmas Craft for Babies
Take a picture of each baby. Glue the baby’s picture to the center of red or green card stock that’s been precut into a Christmas tree shape. Using glitter pens, write “Thank you, God, for baby Jesus. Thank you, God, for [child’s name].” beneath the photo. Punch a hole at the top of the tree, and tie a red or green ribbon for parents to hang the keepsake on their Christmas tree at home.
Christmas Craft For Toddlers
Take a picture of each toddler. Help kids glue four craft sticks in a square shape, and allow the glue to dry. Repeat this process. Then have kids color or paint their craft sticks red or green. Have kids color a picture of baby Jesus in the manger. At the bottom of each child’s picture, write “[Child’s name] loves baby Jesus.”
Glue the colored picture to one craft stick frame, and then glue the child’s photo to the other craft stick frame. Allow the glue to dry. Cut a 4-inch piece of ribbon and make a loop that’ll serve as a hanger. Place the loop on the backside of the child’s framed coloring, and glue it in place. Then glue the backs of the framed photo and the framed coloring together to create a two-sided ornament. Allow the keepsake ornaments to dry completely before sending them home with children.
