3 Simple Elementary Game Ideas: Snow Much Fun!

Elementary-age kids love to play in the snow, so have kids bring boots, gloves, hats, and snow pants to class one weekend and head outside for these fun snow games. (These ideas work in sand, too, if you don’t have snowy winters!)

3 Simple Elementary Game Ideas: Snow Much Fun!

Snow Angels Game

Have kids lay in the snow and move their arms up and down and their legs in and out to form angels. Have kids talk about ways God used angels throughout history, such as the angels announcing Jesus’ birth to the shepherds or the angel that spoke to Joseph in a dream.

Cool Colors

Use spray bottles filled with colored water to create art in the snow or messages such as, “Jesus is born!” If you’re working with sand, kids can use their fingers to draw, make shapes with items such as seashells or twigs, or form shapes with their bodies.

Follow Me

Lead your class in a game of Follow the Leader, where kids must leap into your footprints in the snow. Afterward, talk about ways they can follow Jesus in the new year.
