4 Simple Independence Day Outreach Ideas
To reach out and declare God’s freedom, have kids perform these acts of service in Jesus’ name at your community’s fireworks show. These caring Independence Day outreach ideas demonstrate God’s caring love for every person.
4 Simple Independence Day Outreach Ideas
- Bugs Away—Invite kids and families to a community picnic, and have them help you give away cans of mosquito repellent.
- A Cold Drink—Bring ice chests full of canned soft drinks, and have families help you hand them out for free at a local parade.
- Puppet Show—Before sundown at a church Independence Day event, have your puppet team present a drama about freedom in Christ.
- Roving Painters—Plan to have a booth at a July 4th festival, and offer face-painting. Draw symbols of God’s love, such as a cross, a dove, or a fish. Make sure you’re using face paint, available at craft stores or on Amazon. Let artistic kids in your youth ministry help out!
Before you leave the church for your Independence Day outreach event, share this Scripture with your volunteers. “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery” Galatians 5:1. Pray and ask God to give you the courage and guidance on who to talk to.
