Preteen High-Energy Bible Game: Sneaker Shuffle
Form two teams and have kids line up single file, facing forward with about 3 feet between each person. The two lines should be directly across from each other. Then have kids each take off their shoes and place them behind their feet.
Say: This is a race. The goal of this race is to be the first team to have all its team members wearing their own shoes. Run forward and slip your feet into the shoes of the person in front of you. As soon as your feet are in those shoes as much as possible, take your feet out, run to the next pair and do the same thing. When you get to the front of your team’s line, run to the back of the line and start over. Keep doing this until you put your own shoes on. The first team to work its way through the line so every team member is wearing his or her shoes wins.
After the game, read aloud Psalm 139:13-16. Then say: God made our feet different from other people’s feet. God made each of us different. What’s one wonderful difference about the person in front of you?
Have each child tell one difference.
