Simple Easter Children’s Ministry Snack: Edible Nests
Looking for a delicious Easter snack for your children’s ministry? Have kids make these edible nests to display Easter candy and enjoy as a snack.
You’ll Need:
- shredded wheat cereal
- mixing bowl
- chocolate chips
- access to a microwave
- spoons
- cupcake pan
- access to a refrigerator
- jelly beans
Make Edible Easter Nests
Kids and adult leaders will work together to make these adorable edible Easter nests.
- Crumble 1 1/2 cups of shredded wheat cereal into a mixing bowl.
- Have an adult melt 1 cup of chocolate chips in the microwave.
- Mix the melted chocolate and shredded cereal.
- Place two spoonfuls of the mixture into each well of the cupcake pan.
- Have kids use their spoons to form the mixture around the well, leaving an indentation in the center.
- Place the nests in the refrigerator to cool for 10 minutes.
- Let kids fill their edible nests with jelly beans for a yummy, take-home Easter treat.
