Elementary and Preteen Bible Snack: Easter Snack Flower Pot
Kids will have a blast making this Easter Snack Pot. It’s an edible reminder of the new hope we received on Easter morning when Christ rose from the grave.
For each child, you’ll need:
- a small, clean terra cotta pot;
- rock candy;
- gummy worms;
- a large lollipop;
- yellow construction paper;
- tape; and
- markers.

First, have kids each fill their pot with rock candy and stick a gummy worm in the center. Then have kids cut out yellow construction paper sun “rays” and attach them to the lollipops using tape. Lastly, stick the lollipops in the pots to represent the sun rising across the land on Easter morning.
Then, read aloud Matthew 28:1-7. Finally, close by praying: Dear God, thank you for sending Jesus to earth. Thank you for the wonderful Easter morning long ago in which Jesus died and rose again! We’re so thankful to have eternal life with you in Heaven. In your name, Amen.
