Free Preschool Christmas Coloring Creation Page: Jesus Gives Hope
Help preschoolers discover how Jesus gives hope as they color a Christmas Coloring Creation page and explore the best Christmas gift ever—Jesus!
A Gift of Love
You’ll need:
Hold up a Bible.
Say: Today we’re learning about a gift of love. It’s fun to think about giving gifts to people we love!
God gave us a gift because he loves us so much. Listen! Can you hear what God’s gift is?
Read aloud John 3:16. To help kids guess God’s gift of love, emphasize “He gave his one and only Son.”
Ask:
- What things did you hear that might be a gift? Invite responses from the whole group, acknowledging kids’ answers. (It’s okay if they don’t say “Jesus.”)
Say: God gave his Son, Jesus, as a gift of love. Jesus gives hope. Jesus came from heaven to live on earth—as a person like you and me!
At Christmas, we celebrate that God’s Son, Jesus, was born! Lead kids in cheering. Jesus gives hope. Hope is a good, happy feeling that everything is going to be okay.
Love Is Born Christmas Coloring Creation Page
You’ll need:
Say: Jesus came to earth as a tiny baby but a big gift of God’s love! Jesus gives hope. Mary wrapped up that special baby in pieces of cloth to keep him safe and snug.
Have kids color the Christmas Coloring Creation page. Have each child tear and attach strips of tissue to be the cloths Mary used to wrap Jesus. Consider playing music in the background while preschoolers create.
