Elementary Bible Game: Shine the Light Hide and Seek

Shine the Light hide and seek will remind kids to be a light in a dark world. This game is a hit with elementary-aged kids!

You’ll need:

• a glow bracelet for each child
• a dark room
• a Bible

Elementary Bible Game: Shine the Light Hide and Seek

Before kids arrive, remove any obstacles from the game room such as chairs, tables, or toys.

Before play, give each child a glow bracelet and choose one child to be “It.” Then play several rounds of hide and seek with kids wearing the glow bracelets.

Have kids talk about how easy or difficult it was to hide with the glow necklace. Then read aloud Luke 11:33-36, and challenge kids to be a bright light for Jesus in a dark world.

Close by singing “This Light Light of Mine” and praying: Dear Lord, thank you for being our ultimate source of Light. Please let each one of us remember to shine a bright light for Jesus in a dark world. Amen.” 

Let kids take home their glow sticks as a reminder to shine God’s light!
