Use this Free printable: Thanksgiving utensil holder at a Thanksgiving family potluck.
One great way to create a stronger relationship with families is to host a Thanksgiving family potluck. Potlucks provide a great opportunity to bring everyone together for fellowship. Each family can bring a side dish to pass, and the church could provide beverages and the main course (might be best to avoid turkey). During the course of the dinner, each family can stand up and share a few things their family is thankful for this year. Hold this event the week or so before the actual holiday so they are not too close together.
We’ve created a festive Thanksgiving utensil holder that adds a special touch. All you need to do is print out the paper, cut in half lengthwise, fold and simply glue the sides together.
Take just a little extra time to make an actual invitation. You can use the Thanksgiving Invitation Freebie seen here. This will make them even more excited for the special day to come. You can use this wording for the invitation:
Please join our church family for Thanksgiving dinner. Please bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share.
