Family Christmas Craft: Christmas Stars
Looking for a simple—yet meaningful—way to decorate your sanctuary for Christmas? Using this Christmas stars family craft is a great idea to help you create a Christmas season to remember.
You’ll Need:
- one big star per family
- a small star for every child in the family
Family Craft: Christmas Stars
A few weeks before Christmas, have each family in your children’s ministry take home a large star for each adult in the family and a smaller star for every child in the family. Then have each family write the parents’ names on the big star and the first name of each child on a different small star.
Encourage families to decorate their stars at home, and have them bring the stars back to Sunday school a week before Christmas—or the week before your Christmas program. Hang all the stars to make your church beautiful and festive. If you’re looking to create more star clusters, invite everyone in your congregation to participate. In January, return each craft to each family as a Christmas keepsake.
