Sparking Spiritual Growth

praying2

Enrich your volunteers’ serving experience by purposefully
incorporating times for spiritual growth into your routine. Here
are a few practical ideas:

HUDDLE TIME

Have volunteers arrive five minutes early for “huddle” time,
where your leaders offer a quick devotion and motivation for the
day. Huddle time helps prepare everyone’s heart for serving kids
and provides an opportunity to spiritually challenge
volunteers.

SERMON CDS/DVDS

When volunteers miss worship services to serve, provide them
with free copies of the week’s message to listen to at their
convenience.

VALUE PERSONAL SPIRITUAL GROWTH

When was the last time you asked a volunteer about his or her
spiritual growth? We all get caught up in the tasks of Sunday
morning and forget to ask the important questions. Regularly ask
volunteers how they’re doing in their faith journey and if they
have any prayer needs.
