Christmas Bible Game Idea
Here’s a rousing Christmas Bible relay game your kids will have a holly-jolly time playing this Christmas season!
For each Bible relay team, you’ll need: a large jingle bell, broom, and laundry basket.
Beforehand, use masking tape to create a 6X6-foot square on the floor at the other end of the room from where teams will line up.
Form teams of six or fewer, and have the teams line up at one end of the room with all the props at the other end inside the masking-tape square. Give the first person in each line a jingle bell to shake as he or she runs to the other end of the room and performs a series of activities.
Once they’ve completed all the activities, have them shake their bells as they return to their teams and pass the bells to the next people in line. Play until everyone has had a chance to do the activities.
Christmas Bible Relay Activities:
Donkey Ride Ride a broom like a horse on the border of the square and say, “Giddyup! Giddyup!” Lay down the “horse.”
The Inn Sweep Move all items outside the square, pick up the broom, and sweep the entire area as you say, “No ‘broom’ in the inn!” Set down the broom.
Manger Move the laundry basket inside the square, sit down in it, and say, “They laid him in a manger.”
Angel Stand, flap your arms like wings, and say, “Glory in the highest.” Then run back to your team, jingling your bell, and give it to the next person in line.
This is even more fun if the adults play, too!
