Released just a few months ago, Farming Simulator 19 is already making “top of” lists for kids video games. In this version of Farming Simulator, users play on their own or in multiplayer games to grow a farm. Players can choose from eight different characters, purchase plots of land, grow crops, tend livestock, contract for equipment and workers, and so on. Whereas other farm simulator games start with basic farming buildings, in Farming Simulator 19, players can build their own buildings, allowing more freedom of design. The game is rated E for everyone and is available on Windows and Mac OS.
Our Take on Farming Simulator 19
Farming Simulator 19 can be educational, not only for kids to learn the aspects of a farm but also for them to gain exposure to managing finances, planning and thinking ahead, and developing organizing skills. It also provides clean, fun, nonviolent gaming for kids. That said, the game is so detailed and all-encompassing it could become a time-suck for preteens. Because other users are online, preteens will want to be aware and exercise caution.
