Boost your team’s spirits and show them what they do matters with these five positive affirmations.

5 Positive Affirmations to Share With Your Team

1. Though you may not often hear words of thanks from the children in your class, these children will grow up knowing the love of God as a result of your obedience.

As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ” (2 Corinthians 9:13).

2. Ask God to lead your lesson this week. Ask him to do miraculous things in your classroom.

You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it” (John 14:13-14).

3. Remember as you teach your students that what you say may very well bless the hearts of adults at home!

4.  Thank you for listening to God’s Word and sharing him with the children in your class.

And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up” (Deuteronomy 6:5-7).

5. Your love for children and willingness to share your time and effort will have an eternal impact. Thank you!

  1. I pray for them….
I try to keep regular communication lines open as the Sunday Youth Co-ordinator, through emails to maintain up-to-date news and events.
I encourage team meetings once a term for open discussion which strengthens my identity and security and highlights areas of weakness in my life as a team leader. It gives the staff an opportunity to experience freedom to be open and honest and to feel accepted with no condemnation.
I affirm my staff regularly, ie thank them personally for their giftings and their love for the children, and through church online pastoral news.
I encourage ‘unity’ by sharing the Communion with them as they teach, at the same time as the rest of the church is receiving the emblems. I believe it’s an opportunity for the children (0-11s especially) to witness this and come under the spiritual atmosphere as they learn and observe. We are just trialling a 10-15 minute slot before the service begins for the staff to share Communion with our Minister in a more intimate setting, again to develop a sense of togetherness within the Ministry…
I don’t expect thanks in return….but it is very gratefully received when it happens!!
When they step down from a role to move on I believe it’s right to honour them before the church…thanking God for His provision and for their servanthood…..

  2. Thank you, for the insight sharing… I am a teacher and truly found myself in your inspiration here. Thank you 🙏🏾.
