No Halftime Show at KidMin

According to reports on last night's Super Bowl XLVII halftime show, there were over 5.5 million tweets during Beyonce's time on stage. That's a lot of attention! The halftime show, as well as the amped up commercials during the game, have became a sensation all their own in America's Super Bowl. In fact, there are some (myself included) who barely tune into the game but have it on to catch the celebrated commercials and entertaining halftime. It's definitely not just a football championship game anymore. For committed football fans - those that really love the game, I wonder if all the extras feel like unnecessary distractions.

As we prayerfully put together the KidMin Conference for 2013, we pour into it an understanding that there needs to be some fun, excitement, even some surprise to make it an engaging event - but not so much you're left wondering where the true meaning was. Or so much that the conference becomes about something, anything other than connecting with God. We aim to create an environment where you can focus on God in such a way that you leave changed, refreshed, and enthusiastic about children's ministry. To do that, we definitely need your attention! But infinitely more importantly, God does. The Super Bowl locked in incredible viewer ratings - some of the highest ever, this year. We want to create that kind of chatter too, but between God and YOU.

That's why you'll see all of our KidMin presenters not just teaching and training but out among you. Their heart is to meet you and grapple through, with you, the toughest ministry challenges. And, to celebrate with you in the amazing things God is doing in your ministry. No halftime show where they "wow!" you and then go behind the curtain. They'll be there over the course of the conference, doing everything they can to make sure the experience with God you were seeking when you came is what you leave with, if not more.

We're so excited to share with you, soon, the full training schedule for KidMin 2013! Stay tuned to the KidMin Conference website for updates and information. If you're joining us for KidMin, be sure to register before February 28th and receive your awesome KidMin mug!
