Make a great impression on families who visit your ministry with these fun and engaging Welcome Packets—with built-in follow up!
To welcome guests who visit our children’s ministry, we’ve created special parent and child packets. Here’s what we put in both. Families love receiving these and we’ve gotten lots of great feedback. The best part is, the packets allow us an opportunity for follow up.
Parent Packet: This packet includes a letter from the coordinator, a description of what’s offered for different age groups, and a schedule of weekly and special events. We also include our vision statement, policies, and procedures.
Child Packet: Kids each receive their own packet that includes two or three small items such as a pencil, a W.W.J.D. bracelet, or a piece of candy. We also include a welcome letter in this packet. Our small group leaders make sure each visitor is welcomed and introduced to a small group. We follow up with a card in the mail during the following week.
These simple procedures ensure that each new child and family knows that they have an important place in our children’s ministry.
