To welcome visitors to our children's ministry, we give a parent
packet that includes a letter from the coordinator, a description
of what's offered for different age groups, and a schedule of
weekly and special events. We also include our vision statement,
policies, and procedures.
Children each receive their own packet that includes two or
three small items such as a pencil, a W.W.J.D. bracelet, or a piece
of candy. We also include a welcome letter in this packet. Our
small group leaders make sure each visitor is welcomed and
introduced to a small group. We follow up with a card in the mail
during the following week.
These simple procedures ensure that each new child and family
knows that they have an important place in our children's
ministry.
