Our church holds a multigenerational, multicultural event on the
second Sunday of each month. We ask a few families to choose a
culture to represent. The families dress in character, provide
samples of ethnic dishes, and decorate their assigned classroom
with their culture’s symbols and decorations.

Then we have the rest of the congregation play “missionaries” on
tour. The missionaries begin the tour with large group singing and
a live missionary story. Then in smaller groups, they travel to
each culture area to pray for the country or people, taste food,
make ethnic crafts, and play games.

This mini-simulation event each month helps children and adults
learn to have a heart for God’s world.
