Many families get away during summer weekends, so churches have
adapted by offering a weekday service option during those months.
From Memorial Day to Labor Day, choose a midweek evening and offer
a worship service alternative. This is a great opportunity to do
something different -- consider a family worship time where
families participate together. Worship early, then offer dinner for
families, and place message-related questions and activities on the
dinner tables. Families can debrief in groups or take the questions
and activities home to do on their weekend getaway.
