Our Sunday school sponsors a Secret Valentine program for our
entire church each year. We ask everyone (ages 3 and over) to sign
up two weeks after Christmas. We assign each participant a Secret
Valentine and distribute names along with this note:
"For the next three weeks, pray daily for your Secret Valentine.
You can send notes of encouragement, Bible readings, and small
gifts each week through the Sunday school's Secret Valentine mail
service. We'll have a potluck on the Sunday before Valentine's Day,
and there you'll discover who your Secret Valentine is."
Our Sunday school office staff handles the mail delivery. And we
always keep extra Valentines and small wrapped candies on hand for
those who don't receive mail.
Everyone enjoys our Secret Valentine program. One of our older
members says he looks forward to it every year, because it makes
