We hold a free 13-station basketball camp for kindergartners
through sixth-graders from our church and community. We ask
basketball players from high schools and junior colleges to help
out with the camp and run 12 of the stations. At each station, kids
learn the basics of the sport, including dribbling, passing, and
shooting. At the last station, we lead a devotion and give kids the
opportunity to make a commitment to Christ.

The camp lasts about four hours, and the church provides lunch
for the kids. For parents bringing their kids and staying, we give
tours of our church and tell about our children’s ministry program.
We have several stores get involved by donating money or letting us
use lighted display signs or other items.

It takes a lot of volunteers, but it’s a great way to reach out
to the community. Last year we had around 200 participants, and
several kids dedicated their lives to Christ.
