Leader Tip: The Giving Tree

Use this creative, no-pressure way to invite your congregation
to donate needed supplies to your children’s ministry. Create a
large tree on a bulletin board or wall using butcher paper. Make
leaf-shaped cards or die cuts to hang from the tree’s branches. On
each card, write a resource your ministry needs-from chenille craft
wires to crackers to a new DVD player. You’ll be surprised at what
your congregation members are happy to give. Include each item’s
price, picture, and a store where it can be purchased. Place a
donation box nearby.

Leave the Giving Tree up throughout the year along with an
invitation to congregation members to take a card at any time.
