From guest blogger Vanessa Myers about what’s unique about Group’s KidMin Conference!
2014 was the first year that I attended Group’s KidMin Conference. I’ve been to other conferences before, but never to the KidMin Conference. I came with a couple of friends from churches around me and we were pumped! I knew that God had me there for a reason and I was excited to see how God would show up that week (and he did).

There were two things about this conference that stood out to me and reasons I love the KidMin Conference so much. The first reason was the networking. I was amazed at the friendliness of people and how everyone wanted to speak to me. And not just say hello, but really ask questions about me and my ministry. Workshop leaders, speakers, and attendees were all super friendly and kind.
My networking all began in the Atlanta airport before we even arrived. I noticed a woman sitting across from us and sticking out of her bag was the KidMin brochure. We began talking and ended up hanging out all weeklong! Even on the shuttle ride over from the Columbus airport we connected with another woman and she hung out with us all week, too! The KidMin Conference is such an awesome event where you truly feel that people care about you and your ministry.
The second reason I love KidMin was because of the workshops. Every workshop I attended was R.E.A.L. I loved that the workshop leaders did hands-on activities with us and gave us concrete ideas that we could take back home with us. I also loved the open interaction between workshop leaders and attendees. Again, I could really tell that they cared about us and our ministries.
The KidMin Conference is very unique and I have never experienced this type of atmosphere at any other conference. I hope you will join us September 25-27 in Chicago, so that you, too, can experience the awesomeness of the KidMin Conference.
