You’ll need one baby food jar for each color, one inexpensive
water color brush for each jar, a thin sponge approximately 1/4
inch thick, food coloring, and water.

Cut sponges to fit in the bottom of each jar. Add several drops
of food coloring to each jar. Moisten the sponge with water without
forming a puddle.

Have kids push their paintbrush against the sponge as they paint
pictures. After kids finish painting, rinse the brushes and store
the jars with the lids off.

The next time children paint, just dampen the sponge again. When
color fades, add a little more food coloring.
