Try this fun craft with a lesson on Jonah and the big fish. Have
kids press their thumbs onto an ink pad, then make a thumbprint in
the center of a paper to make the fish's body. Then have kids dip
their pinkie in the same color ink and make two pinkie prints at
one end of the thumbprint to make the fish's tail. Help direct
kids' fingers, or let them get creative as they place their
fingerprints.
Using their index fingers and blue or green ink, kids can add
fingerprint water and waves.
Use this fingerprint technique to make pictures for other Bible
lessons, such as thumbprint animals for Noah's ark, a
thumbprint-patterned tomb for Jesus' death and resurrection, or
fingerprint lions in the den with Daniel.
