Here's a new twist on the old standby Father's Day gift.
Give your fathers ties that they've worn before!
We had a lot of fun with this fundraiser for Father's Day. We
asked wives or children to bring in fathers' old ties in advance.
Then kids decorated the ties with glitter paints, sequins, buttons,
jewels, and anything they could find.
We then sold the ties to children and wives for fathers to wear
on Father's Day. People didn't have to buy the tie they donated. We
sold the ties for $5 a piece, and we made $185.
