Fall Nature Walk

You’ll need plenty of adult help, and take only a few
children at a time.

Place a pumpkin in an area where you’ll walk. Encourage children
to look for the pumpkin, colorful leaves, squirrels running around,
and other signs of fall.

If you’re unable to go outside, have a nature walk inside your
church by placing pictures of pumpkins, colorful leaves, nuts,
squirrels, and other images of fall in various places or in a
hallway. Take kids in small groups for a walk to identify the
pictures. You might even have a real pumpkin, a basket with apples,
real leaves, or nuts for kids to touch and feel. Say a prayer of
thanksgiving with each group of kids after the nature walk.

Please keep in mind that phone numbers, addresses, and
prices are subject to change.
