You’ll need apples, a knife, tempera paint, paintbrushes, a
black marker, 12×18-inch sheets of craft foam, and clear adhesive

Cut the apples in half and have kids paint the flat sides of the
apples. Write “You’re the Apple of God’s Eye” on sheets of craft
foam, and then kids can decorate them by firmly pressing the
painted apples onto the sheets. When the paint dries, cover the
place mats with clear adhesive vinyl.
